What's Happening

Regular School Days: January 9, 10, 13, and 14 will follow the regular bell schedule. These days will help students prepare for upcoming SOL testing.
Weather Delays: Be ready for possible 2-hour delays due to icy conditions. Any delays before the SOLs will not change the testing schedule.
No Cougar Time: There will be no Cougar Time for the rest of Semester 1.
Asynchronous Assignments: These will be available on Canvas by January 13.
SOL Testing Dates: Testing will take place on January 15, 16, and 17. The schedule remains the same but is delayed by a week. These will be tester-only days, except for our adaptive students.
Important Dates:
- January 20: Holiday (No School)
- January 21: Teacher Workday (No School for Students)
- January 24: New end of Quarter 2/Semester 1
- January 27: New start of Quarter 3/Semester 2

Principal's Message

MP Students and Families,

As we approach our Winter Break, I am grateful for the work your students have accomplished in the classroom, in school activities, and in athletics. We have so many amazing contributions from our students and school community! Just this weekend, our e-Sports Team competed in the State Championship at Shenandoah University while our newly formed Debate Team competed in the WACFL tournament. In addition, this past week we were able to hear our amazing band perform their Winter Concert and look forward to the Holiday Choir Concert on December 17. Our students are so talented!

I hope over break that you and your family are able to relax and recharge before the final push to end the semester. On behalf of the entire MPHS staff, I wish you a joyful and safe winter break. We look forward to welcoming our students back on January 6, 2025.

As you make your plans, please remember that on Friday, December 20 we will dismiss early at 10:30 am to begin our holiday.
